Motion to approve the minutes from the previous meeting and the constitutional review meeting 7/0 Passed

Communication issues

Misunderstanding about a dinner party that there might have been board level decisions were made.

We need to make sure that we have a division of what is board business and what can be dealt with without a board vote. IE what is board level what is committee level.

There should be a good faith notification with 48 hours notice made to all members of the board when a meeting of a committee that has been delegated powers by the board happens. This includes board members. 7/0 - Passed

Policy, if a workshop presenter wants to be a vendor at the same party they have the option to forfeit their presenter honorarium and don't need to pay a vendor fee. 6/1 - Rosina opposed

Afternoon workshop at the May 3rd Party

Tillie would like to have the afternoon party as a by donation event and have the donated money go to Spencer.

Afternoon workshops would be all level 101 stuff.

Afternoon workshop is a suggested donation of $5, but no one turned away for lack of funds. The funds will be split 50/50 split between the presenter and MVK, with a maximum of $50 going to the presenter. 6/0/1 - Rosina Abstains

We need to foster good feelings with the newcomers

Newcomers group

No confirmation from Anika regarding the next meeting so the location isn't booked yet.

BJ is offering the split the room cost at Britannia with MVK, $24.50 $17/hour

Looking for a new location accessable, public, available for pre-booking, cheap or free, ability to book first monday of each month.

Motion to approve allocation of MVK funds up to $25 per month for room rental for the newcomers group and to include a donation jar at the door - 7/0

Funiture Building

Action item: Spencer to put together a proposal for furniture building.

New subcomittee Greg and Spencer - furniture building.

Move the retreat to May 17th, bring ingredients list for any food you bring.

We can have a waiver designed for $500 and/or have a lawyer on retainer.

Revisit the discussion on insurance.

Cards to hang on equipment to determine if a peice needs to be disassembled or not.

Peter will look into small claims to work out the situation with Barry.

Write on the back of the receipt who paid out the money, who reimbursed the money and what it was for and date of reimbursement.
