Financial matters


* Incorporation Status

- Incorporation on hold, they want us to change the language from "person" to "adult" in our constitution
- Section 2: Need a sentence indicating "Adults Only"
- 2.1: persons to adults

- We need to check the laws in relation to age especially in regards to education of minors - Peter and BJ going to do the research and post to the board.

General Meeting to discuss the constitution April 10, 2008 7:00pm.  Board meeting 6:30
Firehall Branch Meeting Room 6:30 - 8:45

Action Item: Peter to followup with Firehall Branch to confirm and then email blast the membership.


* Kink Aware Professionals

Someone committed to do the work as long as Elaine built it but they haven't maintained it. Elaine says that it's fine that we manage it, we can leave it on vancouverleather.com and link back to us.

Action Item: Board member to contact Elaine for management of the kink aware professionals

* April 5th Party

Newcomers discussion group 2-4pm

Action Item: Gather literature from Elaine for the newcomers group.

Assign regular volunteers to be leaders of setup groups: decorations, equipment, snack bar, front door... Split up volunteers into groups and tell them who to report to.

Peter in charge of dungeon setup
Draya in charge of red light room and cuddle space
Spencer is doing music
Peter is handling honorarium for DMs and presenter

* May event

Possibly do the newcomers discussion group and a 101 workshop.

* Volunteers

- Someone needs to be in charge of thanking volunteers, making them feel that they are appreciated.


* Opening up to the Queer community more

- Invite queer groups to help with a party that will be more queer friendly. Need specific marketing targeted for them, to make them feel welcome.


Motion by Peter to appoint Spencer Macdonell to the Board of Directors as a Director at Large 6/0 - Passed

* Taboo Show Abbotsford

Taboo show contacted us far too late for us to provide workshops

Action Item: Get flyers to Sin for the Taboo Show dungeon
